Ensign urges business owners to oppose health law

LAS VEGAS (AP) - Nevada Sen. John Ensign says small businesses owners want Congress to repeal the sweeping federal health care bill that was signed into law last year.

Ensign told a group of restaurant owners Tuesday in Las Vegas that health care opponents should contact their representatives and urge them to overturn the legislation.

KLAS-TV reports that Ensign made his comments during a breakfast hosted by the Nevada Restaurant Association.

The Republican is preparing to run for re-election and could face tough opposition from within his party.

Some restaurant owners at the gathering complained the federal government has over-regulated the industry, contributing to the troubled economy.
