Bob Nielsen, president of Shelter Properties in Reno, was elected as the 2011 Chairman of the Board of the National Association of Home Builders.
Nielsen was president of the Builders Association of Northern Nevada in 1986, president of the Nevada Home Builders Association in 1988 and was inducted into the Northern Nevada Housing Hall of Fame in 2005.
He also has held leadership positions in the National Association of Home Builders.
