Obituary: Lance C. Sunderland

Lance C. Sunderland, 65, of Carson City died Dec. 14, 2010. He was born Jan. 5, 1945, in Spearfish, S.D., to Skip and Ruth Sunderland. He was preceded in death by his brother John Sunderland. Among his survivors are his wife Kathleen "Candi" Sunderland; sister Kathleen Thorne; stepson Vinnie Bernard, sister-in-law Olga Sunderland, brothers-in-law Chris Thorne and Ed Miller, and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be at 3 p.m. today at St. Peter's Episcopal Church in Carson City. Graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Lone Mountain Cemetery. Capitol City Cremation & Burial is in charge of arrangements.
