Woman arrested in assault on sister

A 40-year-old Carson City woman was arrested on suspicion of domestic abuse, her third offense.

Mary Ellen Baker was arrested at 4:32 p.m. Monday on the 4100 block of Ponder-osa Drive after allegedly hitting her sister and pushing her against a wall after be-coming angry while they were talking and drinking alcohol.

After the incident the sister told Baker to leave. According to the report, while walking out Baker allegedly told her sister she would kill her if she stepped outside.

After a deputy arrived Baker submitted to a preliminary breath test, resulting in a .240 BAC.

Baker has been arrested two other times for domestic abuse, in 2007 and 2006. The third offense resulted in a felony.

Bail was set at $10,615.
