Contractors lose licenses

The Nevada State Contractors Board has revoked the licenses of three northern Nevada contractors after disciplinary hearings. A fourth company surrendered its license after a hearing.

Revoked were the licenses of:

* John Theodore Sullivan, doing business as American Sun & Solar in Sparks. The board found Sullivan worked with an unlicensed person and completed substandard workmanship. He also was fined $15,500.

* Hart Stone Marble & Granite Inc. of Reno. The board found the company misrepresented a material fact, participated in a prohibited act and failed to establish financial responsibility.

* Hendrix Concrete Inc. of Fallon. The board found it failed to pay for materials or services and failed to establish financial responsibility. The company also was fined $1,750.

Sterling Builders LLC of Reno surrendered its license. The board said it misrepresented a material fact to obtain a license and failed to establish financial responsibility.
