New stage line to Lake Tahoe will be put on by Oliver Roberts taking the King's canyon route and running six horses, giving people a more picturesque scenery and an easier grade.

Gasless Sundays: Highway district engineers of Nevada were urged by State Highway Engineer Robert A. Allen to conserve their available maintenance funds in view of the recent prediction of "gasless Sundays" by Secretary of the Interior Harold Ickes.

Donkeys and men: A bitter feud will take place at the old high school baseball field between a picked "Merchant's Softball team" and one from the local 20-30. Robert Berger and Dan Humphrey are engineering the 20-30 entry and are attempting to regain their prestige which was dunked by Lions (Club) last time 5-4. Players for Murdock's businessmen are Charles Buckheister, Keith MacDonald, Roger Murdock, Bill Dolan.

Nevada's sales tax drops by 2.8 percent continuing a six-month economic slide.

10 YEARS AGO

Students may have to start walking as school district officials may eliminate bus routes. It's totally reasonable to ask middle and high school students to walk two miles to and from school.
