MNDEN - Fire fighters are responding to a wildfire burning near Indian Creek Reservoir Campground in Alpine County, two miles outside of Markleeville.
According to the Sierra Front Interagency Dispatch Center, the fire was reported at 1:17 p.m. It is estimated to be more than 60 acres in size.
A large plume of smoke from the fire is visible from Carson Valley.
