James B. Atcheson

James B. Atcheson, M.D., an endocrinologist in Reno, will receive the Arthur J. Lurie M.D. Distinguished Physician Award during the Renown Health Foundation gala Oct. 15.

A specialist in diabetes, endocrinology, metabolism and internal medicine, Atcheson was the first trained endocrinologist in northern Nevada and has been board certified in internal medicine since 1971 and board certified in endocrinology and metabolism since 1973. He has practiced medicine for more than 45 years, began practicing in Reno in 1972, and joined Renown Medical Group three years ago.
