Joseph P. Iser

Joseph P. Iser has been named Washoe County district health officer.

He is former director of public health and public health officer in Nevada and Yolo counties in California and served 24 years with the U.S. Public Health Service.

Iser earned his medical degree from the University of Kansas, earned a doctorate in public health from the University of Michigan, and a master's degree in infectious diseases from the University of London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine.
