Power has been restored in Dayton after an outage about 11 a.m. is affectied nearly 2,000 customers, according to NV Energy.
Spokeswoman Faye Anderson said a bird got into a substation in equipment in a Dayton substation and caused the outage.
The bird did not survive, said Anderson.
Power was out for about two hours.
