Readings celebrate 50th anniversary

James and Helen Reading of Carson City celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on June 10.

The couple married in Malibu, Calif., on June 10, 1961. They met in Michigan in 1959 and moved to Los Angeles shortly after they were married. They have lived in Carson City since 1992.

They have two daughters, Debbie Grasham of Brookings, Ore., and Terri Tedford of San Carlos, Calif.; son-in-law Jack Grasham; three grandchildren, Nora Grasham of Sunnyvale, Calif., Drew Grasham of Walnut Creek, Calif., and Betsy Grasham of Sebastopol, Calif. They also enjoy three "grand-dogs" Willie, Biscuit and Scruffy.

The couple celebrated their anniversary at a dinner with their family at Glen Eagles Restaurant in Carson City.
