Chuck W. Cook has joined Q&D Construction as chief financial officer, and Valerie Burnett has been promoted to controller of the Sparks-based construction company.
Cook previously worked 13 years for Peavine Construction of Sparks. He also has worked for FMC Corp.
He earned a bachelor's degree in accountancy and a master's in business from New Mexico State University.
Burnett previously worked as accounting manager for Q&D. She has worked seven years for the company.
