The purchase of the Carson Station by a Las Vegas company was announced today.

A Las Vegas company has purchased the Carson Station Hotel and Casino in Carson City, the casino announced this morning.

Casino management company 777 Gaming will be the new owner of the property located in south Carson City. The purchase is pending approval by Nevada Gaming Authorities.

"This is a great fit for us, our guests and the entire community," said Jennifer Russell, General Manager of Carson Station. "While there will be many exciting improvements, the one thing that won't change at Carson Station is putting our players and customers first. This is a win-win for everyone."

"We are looking forward to the opportunity to become a part of the Carson Station Family," said Rory Bedore, CEO of 777 Gaming. "We're very confident the loyal customers will be very happy with the improvements and we feel the enhancements will also attract a whole new crowd."

According to its Web site, 777 Gaming was founded in 2006.
