Enrollment open at Lutheran School

Spiritual destiny to be discussed at service

Learn how to master spiritual destiny at a worship service hosted by Eckankar at 10 a.m. March 19, Carson City Community Center, Roop and Williams streets.

During this one-hour worship service, a skilled facilitator will give a brief talk, followed by readings, a small-group discussion and a short contemplation.

Interfaith welcome for Orthodox pastor

An interfaith reception is planned for Father Stephen Karcher, new pastor of Saint Anthony Greek Orthodox Church in Reno, and his wife Olga.

The reception is 5 p.m. Monday at India Kabab & Curry Restaurant, 1091 S. Virginia St., Reno. Sparks Mayor Geno Martini will preside.

Potter's House Christian Church begins a series of revival services with Evangelist Mike Gomez with the Sunday morning worship service 11 a.m.-12:20 p.m.

The series continues from 7:30-9:30 p.m. Monday-Thursday.

Temple celebrating Purim holiday with mystery

Temple Beth Or will celebrate Purim with a murder mystery dinner, "Perils in Persia" at 6:30 p.m. March 19.

The Capo, "Big Toto" King Ahashuerus, will be in town to celebrate the evening with his eye on finding a new lady. With gangsters, hit men, politicians, a jazz singer, assassins, deceit, and many other interesting guests and more interesting agendas, this is sure to be a memborable event.
