Carson City

The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All suspects are innocent until proved guilty in court:

• Wilbur Ventling, 63, was arrested at 5:11 p.m. Wednesday in the 4700 block of August Drive on suspicion of failing to register as a sex offender.

• Frederick Paul Panke II, 27, of Carson City, was arrested at 10:05 a.m. Thursday in the 900 block of East Musser Street on suspicion of felony probation violation. No bail was set.

• Robert Gallegos II, 27, of Sparks, was arrested at 4 a.m. Wednesday in the 800 block of East Musser Street on a Carson City warrant for suspicion of felony burglary. Bail was set at $20,000.

• Vincent Darrell Ortez II, 20, of Dayton, was arrested at 11:45 a.m. Wednesday in the 800 block of East Musser Street on suspicion of felony probation violation and violations of bail conditions. No bail was set.

The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded Wednesday:

• Report of spools of copper wire stolen from the NV Energy lot on East Long Street sometime before 11:47 a.m.

• Report at 4:28 p.m. of a man in his 20s, with a thin build, between 5 feet 10 inches tall and 6 feet tall, stealing 10 $20 bills from a cash register on Hot Springs Road when the owner wasn't looking. The owner saw the man run from the store and jump into a silver SUV before discovering the money was gone.

• A truck window was shattered in the 1600 block of East Long Street sometime before 8:26 p.m.

• Coroner call at Evergreen Mountain View Care Center on Koontz Lane at 9:35 p.m.

• Report of a vehicle striking a gate then leaving the scene on Dump Hill at 10:23 p.m.

• Head-on collision at Saliman Road and Fairview Drive at 11:18 p.m.

Lyon County

The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded Wednesday:

• Missing person report at 3 Glasner Road in Mason Valley at 9:53 a.m.

• Report at 6:01 p.m. of a driver involved in an accident the previous day was back at the scene on C Street in Fernley "threatening people."

• Report at 10:12 p.m. of a temporary protective order violation in Fernley.

Storey County

The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded Wednesday:

• Warrant arrest at 3 p.m. on State Route 341.
