Star Party time changes announced

The Jack C. Davis Observatory has announced time changes for Star Parties due to daylight savings time changes and the need for dark skies.

This Saturday the lecture will be, "Infinity and Beyond," by Mike Thomas. This slide-show lecture addresses the many questions that relate to man's curiosity concerning the size of the universe, and what really is infinity.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the lecture starts 7 p.m.

The originally scheduled lecture on the Hubble Space Telescope was presented two weeks ago as a substitute lecture, and won't be repeated this weekend.

The observatory opens for these Star Parties every Saturday and telescope viewing is provided, weather permitting, and the evening is free to the public.
