Bob McCabe, beloved brother, father, grandfather and great-grandfather passed away on March 13, 2011, at Carson Tahoe Regional Medical Center. He was born in Wichita, Kan., on Oct. 21, 1919, to L. E. and Y. Lucille Currier-McCabe. Bob was predeceased in death by three wives over the course of his 91 years, Inez, Mary Frances, and Betty. He also mourned the loss of two children, Brenda and Larry, and siblings Bruce McCabe, Arlene Sanders and Barbara Turner.

Bob moved his family from Long Beach, Calif., to Carson City in 1964. He enjoyed a very full life fishing, flying private airplanes, boating, RV traveling, ocean cruises, building remote control airplanes, mechanical work, building things of any nature and square dancing. Mr. McCabe was a State of Nevada employee working for Buildings and Grounds and Nevada Legislative Counsel Bureau. Bob loved doting on siblings, children, and his many nephews and nieces. Most importantly, he was a friend to all, would teach you anything you wanted to learn and never met a stranger.

He is survived by brother, L.E. McCabe Jr.; sons Gerald (Betty Jo) McCabe, Sonny (Bonnie) McCabe; daughter Maryann Hunt and stepson, Rob (Lori) Small. Grandchildren include Mark (Doreen) McCabe, Kevin (Terri) Hunt, Melanie (Andrew) Soundy, Becky (Vic) Bruno and Shelly McCabe.
