Carson City

The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded Thursday:

• A man reported receiving a fraudulent check from someone after posting a motorcycle for sale online.

• A washer and dryer were stolen from the 2200 block of Bunch Way within the last week.

• A man named James Ames, 64, was reported missing by a friend who hadn't heard from him since November.

• Coroner call in the 900 block of North Carson Street at 4:12 p.m.

• Report at 5:49 p.m. of a warehouse burglarized and sports equipment stolen from the former Boys & Girls Club on Stewart Street.

• Felony arrest following a pedestrian being hit by a car in the 3300 block of High-way 50 East at 6:25 p.m.

Lyon County

The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded Thursday:

• Child abuse report on Calico Hills Lane in Mason Valley at 6:32 p.m.

• Report at 10:37 a.m. of an attempted burglary at a home on Pueblo Street in Silver Springs.

• Report of a missing 5-year-old on Dayton Avenue at 3:26 p.m. The child was located within a half hour.

Storey County

• A 31-year-old Virginia City Highlands man was arrested at 5:39 p.m. near the mailboxes on Cartwright Road on suspicion of drunken driving.
