Lander exploration deal

Thunder Mountain Gold Inc. of Boise said last week it struck a deal with Newmont Mining Corp. for exploration in Lander County.

Newmont will add a package of 9,565 acres of claims to a 1,200-acre package held by Thunder Mountain in the Reese River Valley near Newmont's Phoenix Mine to create an exploration program.

Thunder Mountain is obligated to spend at least $150,000 during the next two years on exploration of the properties.
