Shannon Burns

Shannon Burns has been promoted to general manager of the Lahontan Valley News, a newspaper in Fallon.

Burns, who has worked in advertising sales positions at the newspaper for four years, previously was sales supervisor.

She succeeds Pete Copeland, who was general manager of the Fallon newspaper on a temporary basis for 30 months while also working as publisher of Northern Nevada Business Weekly and reno.com.
