Ronald E. Weeks passed away March 30, 2011, in Carson City. Ron was born Sept. 3, 1937, in Washington, D.C., to Frank and Florence Weeks. He was a U.S. Navy veteran serving in the Korean Conflict. Ron moved to Virginia City in 1974 from San Francisco. Ron married his wife, Kathy in 1969 in Virginia City. He was a member of the Masons and the Storey County Jeep Posse. He enjoyed photography.
Ron worked for the Storey County Sheriff's Department for more than 17 years retiring in 1998. Following his retirement he was the pro tem justice of the peace for Storey County.
Ron is survived by his wife, Kathy; daughter Corinna Rouse (Matt); and three grandchildren.
There will be a graveside service for Ron at the Virginia City cemetery at 3 p.m. Saturday, April 2, 2011.
Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of final arrangements.
