Carson City

The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All suspects are innocent until proved guilty in court:

• A 46-year-old contractor from Carson City was arrested at 11:18 p.m. Tuesday at Carson and Sonoma streets on suspicion of misdemeanor drunken driving. Bail was set at $1,132.

• A 42-year-old student from Carson City was arrested at 1:49 p.m. Tuesday on Flint Road on a misdemeanor warrant for violation of a suspended sentence. Bail was set at $1,000.

The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded Tuesday:

• A mother reported at 10:04 a.m. that her 16-year-old daughter was cutting school and she didn't know where she was.

• Report at 3:38 p.m. of a vehicle windshield broken overnight on Silver Oak Drive.

• Coroner call in the 3000 block of North Ormsby Boulevard at 8:48 p.m.

• A woman reported at 8:55 p.m. she found a used syringe in a purse she bought at a thrift store.

Lyon County

The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded Tuesday:

• Misdemeanor arrest on Highway 95 Alternate in Mason Valley at 4:28 a.m.

• Misdemeanor arrest on Ranchwood Lane in Fernley at 9:26 a.m.

• Misdemeanor arrest at the Mason Valley sheriff's substation at 9:36 a.m.

• A Fernley woman reported someone broke into her Julia Lane home and "trashed" it sometime before 3:30 p.m.

• A man reported he found wire stolen from his business over the weekend at a Fernley junkyard at 4:30 p.m.

• A woman was taken into civil protective custody at 5:11 p.m. on Dayton Valley Road.

• A Fernley man reported at 7:46 p.m. that someone broke into his house while he was in jail and stole a chainsaw and coins.

• A Fernley father reported at 9:51 p.m. that he caught his 17-year-old son smoking marijuana in the bathroom.
