Investigators are asking the public's help in locating a bandit who made off with a safe from an apartment on Country Village Drive off East Fifth Street.
Carson City Sheriff's Detective Dena Lacy said that while the tenant was working sometime between 5 p.m. Sunday and 1 a.m. Monday morning, someone climbed in a window that faces onto Linda Kay Court after removing an air conditioner.
They then took jewelry, prescription medication and a safe bolted to the floor inside the closet.
Lacy said she suspects the burglar did not work alone since they exited the apartment through the window and would have had to hand off the safe, described as the size of a small night stand.
Anyone with information on the burglary is asked to call Lacy at 775-283-7854.n
