Sheriff's Log for May 17

The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All suspects are innocent unless proven guilty in court:

• Claudia Cecilia Garcia, 37, was arrested at 5:06 p.m. Saturday at Kohl's, 3871 S. Carson St., on suspicion of grand larceny, a felony, and misdemeanors for contributing to the delinquency of a minor after telling her two children to stay on the lookout while she allegedly tried to steel more than $400 worth of merchandise from the department store. Bail was set at $26,000.

• Jason Eric Williamson, 27, was arrested at 12:21 a.m. Saturday at the Hampton Inn Suites, 10 Hospitality Way, when allegedly he gave a bag of marijuana to two decoys in a hotel room. Deputies allegedly found cocaine on his person and arrested him on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana over an ounce, both felonies. Bail was set at $5,000.

• Matthew Stephen Phillips, 18, was arrested at 12:31 p.m. Sunday on the 3300 block of Retail Drive on suspicion of probation violation and giving false information to avoid prosecution, both felonies. No bail for the probation violation and $10,000 for the latter.

• A 58-year-old Carson City man was arrested at 9:40 p.m. Saturday on the 1500 block of Evan Street, on suspicion of assault on a peace officer, a gross misdemeanor, and misdemeanors for battery that constitutes domestic violence, obstructing a peace officer and resisting arrest. Bail was set at $7,181.
