Obituary: Rodger L. Parker

Rodger L. Parker was born in Kentfield, Calif., on Nov. 15, 1934, he passed May 6, 2011, in Carson City. He was 76. Rodger will be remembered for his love of fishing, gardening and cooking. He was a very generous person who loved to help others. After moving to Carson City from the Bay area, he tended bar at Eagles Hall. Rodger was preceded in death by his father Vere N. Parker, mother Hazel Weitzel Keiser, and brother Howard Rader. He is survived by two sisters, Janice Harris and Debby Williams of Fresno, Calif.; one brother, Ken Rader of Carson City; two sons, Mike and Rex; and one daughter, Connie; along with several grandchildren, nieces and nephews. At his request no services will be held. You can remember Rodger by planting flowers or a plant in his memory. Arrangements entrusted to the Neptune Society, Reno.
