Cheers & Kudos: 4-H'er sells pig to sheriff's department

Katie Cullen, 9, a first-year member of Washoe Valley's Slap of Bacon 4-H Club, would like to thank the Carson City Sheriff's Department for purchasing her 271-pound pig this year at the Nevada Junior Livestock Show held April 28-May 1.

Katie will be using the money to purchase her animal for next year's show and put the rest in her savings account for college.
