E-mail marketer Mailright targets Carson City, Reno

A British company that develops e-mail marketing campaigns for businesses

has established its American beachhead in northern Nevada.

If its program is successful in Carson City and Reno, MailRight hopes to

establish locally franchised offices in other markets.

Jonathan Denwood, owner of Digital Delirium LLC, a Web development firm in Carson City, owns a 49 percent stake in the U.S. operation of MailRight and manages the American operation.

MailRight Managing Director Richard Quick of St. Andrews, Scotland, owns the other 51 percent.

The company sells a menu of e-mail marketing services, beginning with

programs priced at $29 a month for simple marketing that uses a

pre-established template and delivers a message to 500 subscribers.

From there, the company provides varying degrees of graphics customization and individualized copywriting for monthly retainers that run as high as $599.

Denwood said the company hopes to add sales representatives in Sacramento in 2012, followed by a franchising effort elsewhere in the United States.

The company's decision to expand through franchises, he said, reflects the belief by Denwood and Kirk that franchisees will provide better standards of service to clients than they'd receive from sales representatives who don't have a financial commitment to the success of a local operation.
