Naomi Duerr has been hired as president of DPE, Inc., a geologic exploration, water and natural resource policy consulting firm effective June 30.
Duerr formerly worked as executive director of the Truckee River Flood Management Authority. She also will be partner in MinQuest Inc., a minerals exploration company that she and her husband helped to launch in 1998.
Duerr earned a bachelor's degree in geology from University of Nevada, Reno, and a master's degree in public administration and policy from UNR.
