An Open Heart Ministry Spiritual Gathering will be from 4:30-5:30 p.m. every Sunday at the Genoa Community Church.
The gathering will blend music meditation and a message based on the spiritual teachings of the Unity movement, and is led by the Rev. Maryellen Youngs, an ordained Unity minister, assisted by Nadine Allen, a pianist, vocalist and spiritual seeker.

Methodist women host craft faire today
For more than 40 years, the Carson Valley United Methodist Women have been hosting an annual holiday craft faire to raise money for the community.
This year's faire is 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. today at the Carson Valley United Methodist Church.
The craft faire features home-made crafts and baked goods by members of the congregation. There will be Christmas decorations, quilts, kitchen towels, dolls and more.
A lasagna lunch will be served 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Cost is $5 for adults and $2 for children. The United Methodist Women give the money raised at the craft faire to community organizations such as the Family Support Council, the Carson Valley Food Closet, City of Refuge and Abbey Crossing.
Carson Valley United Methodist Church is located at 1375 Centerville Lane, Gardnerville.
