NV Energy reported last week that it earned $173.5 million on revenues of $1.02 billion in the third quarter. A year earlier, it earned $177.5 million on revenues of $1.1 billion.
Its Sierra Pacific Power subsidiary in northern Nevada earned $25.3 million on revenues of $218.9 million the quarter, which compares with income of $24.5 million on revenues of $257.1 million a year earlier.
NV Energy will pay a dividend of 13 cents share Dec. 21 to shareholders of record on Dec. 6.
