The family of Mildred Wright is saddened to announce that she left our world peacefully on October 20, 2011 at age 91. Mildred was born August 6th 1920 in Midland, Arkansas and was one of four children to Severett and Lillie Haney.
Millie married Henry (Hank) Wright in 1957 in Las Vegas Nevada and lived in California where they resided until moving to Carson City Nevada in 1976. She worked at the Carson City Nugget as a security officer until retirement. In 2004, she moved to La Mirada, California to be closer to her family.
She will be mourned by her daughter, Paula Brown and husband Bud of San Marcos, Texas; granddaughter, Melissa Jewett and husband Jeff, and great granddaughter, Nichaela of San Marcos Texas; granddaughter, Tammy McDowell and husband Pat and great grandson, Cole and great granddaughter, Shaye of Fullerton Calif; grandson, Jerry Brown of San Francisco Calif; sister, Ruth Trantham of Whittier, Calif. and many nieces and nephews
Millie was predeceased by her loving husband Henry Wright in 1981; oldest daughter Judith (Judy) Gail Horton in 2004; her parents; brother, Ray Haney; and sister Faye Christ. A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 14, 2011 at 1:00 pm at Walton's Chapel of the Valley in Carson City. Burial will be in Lone Mountain Cemetery.
