Santa Train rolls into Carson City

Santa Claus will make an express run on the Nevada State Railroad Museum's train pulled by Locomotive No. 25 on two December weekends.

The Santa Train will depart the museum's Wabuska Depot at the corner of Fairview Drive and Highway 395 in Carson City from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Dec. 10, 11, 17 and 18.

Tickets are $3 per seat. Trains are first come, first served, so visitors should arrive early

After riding the Santa Train, visitors are encouraged to enjoy the exhibits, the restored locomotives and rolling stock and special Santa Train activities in the museum's main building.

Adult admission to the museum is $6 and everyone under 18 is free. Santa also shops for rail fans on his list at the museum store which is stocked with railroad books, clothing, toys and many unique Nevada specialty items.
