Holiday Treat concert set

It's a Holiday Treat for all - seasonal and holiday music in many styles.

The Carson City Symphony presents the 28th annual Holiday Treat concert at 4 p.m. Dec. 11 in the Bob Boldrick Theater at the Carson City Community Center, 851 E. William St.

The Symphony will be joined on the program by the Carson Chamber Singers, Carson High Saxophone Quartet, and Victorian Dancers.

Pre-concert entertainment by the Carson High Saxophone Quartet begins at 3 p.m. in the lobby.

Collection bins for Food for Thought will be in the lobby. Refreshments and raffle prizes on sale at the concert benefit the Symphony Association's educational and artistic programs.

The concert is made possible, in part, by grants from the Nevada Arts Council, a state agency, and the National Endowment for the Arts, a federal agency, and by private donations.

Tickets are $15 general admission; $12 for seniors, students and Symphony Association members; and free for children age 16 and younger.

Tickets are available in advance at Play Your Own Music in the Carson Mall, online at CCSymphony.com, by mail, or at the door.

Blood donors may receive a complimentary ticket to the concert. Donate at United Blood Services' donor center Dec. 3-10. Call 775-887-9111 for Donor Center hours.
