Bill Waters has been promoted to chief financial officer of Swift Communications Inc. of Carson City.
Waters previously was controller and director of operations finance for the company.
He has worked in the media industry since 1979, holding positions at newspapers at Pocatello, Idaho, and Grass Valley, Calif., before he moved to the Swift corporate staff in 2001.
