Software firm moving to dowtown

Apex Logic, Inc, a small firm specializing in the IT sector of the healthcare industry, has moved its operations from Potomac, Maryland to downtown Reno.

Apex, which employs four, leased office space at the Wells Fargo Building at 200 S. Virginia St. Jennifer Dehnadi, chief executive officer and founder of Apex Logic, says the company's goal is to quickly grow with an eye to hiring local talent as it expands.

"UNR is definitely a place we have identified as a major component of our recruiting effort," Dehnadi says. "Everyone is very excited to be in downtown Reno. It's really a great town surrounded by beautiful scenery, friendly people and tons of potential."

Chase Whittemore, associate with NAI Alliance, represented both Apex Logic and landlord Basin Street Properties in lease negotiations.

Apex Logic was founded in 1999. The company implements software and hardware solutions in the healthcare industry that help to automate processes and improve safety. As it expands, Apex Logic plans to work with international organizations, foundations and non-governmental organizations to contribute technologies and donate services to developing regions of the world.
