Two men are wanted for questioning in the Oct. 9 burglary of a CarsonStreet jeweler.

The Carson City Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help in identifying two men, described as "persons of interest," in the burglary of a Carson Street jewelry store this month.

According to sheriff's Detective Dave LeGros, a masked man broke a plate-glass window and entered Capital Jewelers, 1000 N. Carson St., about 3 a.m. on Oct. 9.

Surveillance video captured images of the man ripping sheets off the jewelry cabinets, only to find them empty. He then fled empty-handed through the same window.

LeGros said he wants to speak with two men who visited the store on two separate occasions in the days before the burglary. Neither man purchased anything in either visit.

The men are described as in their 20s, with medium builds. One man had a long goatee without a mustache, long sideburns and several tattoos on each arm. The other had short dark brown hair and was wearing extra-long shorts.

Anyone with information is asked to call Detective Dave LeGros at 887-2020 ext. 41404.
