Out & About: Don't miss the haunts of Virginia City

While this weekend is Nevada Day, don't forget about all the haunts in Virginia City. From the Governor's Ball at the Piper's Opera House, The Frankenfollies at the Gold Hill Hotel and of course the can't miss the "ghost tours." There also is the 16th annual Halloween Bash at the Red Dog Saloon and don't miss the annual Virginia City Goblin parade on C Street at 5 p.m. on Halloween. Small blessings Halloween pumpkin patch

There are a few fun events that don't get a ton of coverage but are so much fun if you haven't picked up your pumpkin yet, head over to Small Blessing Day Care say hello to Brenda Keller and Leslie Otto and grab a few pumpkins for the porch. They always have the pumpkin patch decorated so cute and it is fun for the children. Plus it supports the school.

Bibee & Associates Pumpkin Carving Contest

Then there is always Bibee & Associates Jack O Lantern/ Halloween Pumpkin decorating contest that has been going on before time. John Bibee and all the employees celebrate Halloween each year by picking up Pumpkins from Small Blessing Day Care and they have a contest on best craved pumpkin. The tradition is long standing and the bragging rights last a year.
