Cynthia Byrns has joined Comstock Mining Inc. of Virginia City as director of environmental and regulatory management.
Byrns previously worked for the chlor alkali products division of Olin Corp. She also has worked with Golden Predator Mines, BHP Nevada Mining, Newmont Gold, Barrick Gold Strike Mining Inc. and SRK Consulting.
She earned a bachelor's degree in geology at the University of Colorado and a master's degree in environmental engineering from Kennedy-Western University.
