Who is getting yourvote in 2012?

So you voted for Obama in 2008 to prove you're not a racist? Who will you vote for in 2012 to prove you're not an idiot?

Burned cat should have been put to sleep

It seems to me that to have euthanized Spirit, the badly burned feral kitten, would have been much more humane than to allow it to suffer for five weeks and then die.

In this case, whose well-being was satisfied, the caretaker's well-being or the badly injured kitten's?

What happened at air show?

I attended the air show Aug. 27. (There were) good ground displays, but (I was) rather disappointed in the air displays. The brochure advertised several aerobatic pilots including Patty Wagstaff. However, none showed up. The announcer appeared to ad lib for some unknown reason, and failed to keep the attendees current on why we never saw the aerobatic displays by the Wagstaffs.

What happened? Folks were complaining about the lack of information on the one hand, and no brochures on the other - it appears that something fell through the cracks with regards to organization. Can you explain? However, I appreciate your efforts.

2008's grand experiment didn't work

History will tell us if the republic survived a grand experiment in 2008 - electing a president with virtually no experience or background. Anyone know of any of his girlfriends from high school or college? How about classmates from college? How about kids from his schools in Indonesia? I didn't think so.

It was a worthy experiment in our democracy. It only cost us a few trillion dollars, it only wrecked our financial and housing institutions, it only downgraded and downsized our military to that of a major power, no longer a superpower, only made us a laughing stock with our allies, and it proved we aren't racists - we elected a half-black man over a pure white one.

Ronald Reagan readily admitted he didn't have all the answers, but he knew smart people and he put them in his Cabinet. Obama believes he's the smartest one in any room, and he surrounded himself with sycophants, communists, socialists, tax cheats, anarchists and others who have no real-world experience, just time spent inacademia.

To paraphrase Einstein, the definition of insanity is to repeat the same behavior and expect different results. The Obama experiment has been a complete failure, so it's time to move on and not repeat the same mistake we made in 2008.
