Altair Nanotechnologies of Reno said last week it agreed to a 120-day extension on an $18 million contract to provide a 10-megawatt energy storage system to a utility in El Salvador.
The Inversiones Energeticas S. A. DE C. V., and Altair need more time to win regulatory approval for the project, the first energy-storage system proposed in El Salvador.
