Maxine Ellen Radu, 79, long-time wife of Sgt. John Radu, US Army, died in her sleep Thursday, September 8, 2011. She resided in Carson City, NV since 2002.
Maxine was born in Sonora, TX and raised in Stockton, CA. She spent several years as a military wife in Fort Eustis, VA; La Rochelle, France and Garmisch, Germany before settling in Larkspur, CA.
Known for her high spirits, Maxine was a member of the Classy Jazzy Red Hats and the American Legion Auxiliary both of Carson City. She enjoyed bingo, poker and canasta. She was well loved by many and will be missed.
Her son Nicholas, his wife Martie and son Martin of Carson City; daughter JoanAnn and her husband Andy Sinaiko of Alameda, CA; son James, his wife Donna and sons Jameson and Brandon of Tiburon, CA survive Maxine. Her sister, Mable Lea Brandt of Sparks, NV, several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive her.
Graveside services were held at the Stockton Rural Cemetery in Stockton, California. FitzHenry's Funeral Home in Carson City were entrusted with the arrangements. 775-882-2644
