Sheriffs' log for Sept. 22

Carson City

The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All suspects are innocent until proved guilty in court:

• Troy Joe Strand III, 20, unemployed of Carson City, was arrested at 9:07 p.m. on a warrant for felony failure to appear in drug court. No bail was set.

• Jose Arturo Medina-Saldivar, 32, of Gardnerville, was arrested at 6 p.m. Tuesday on suspicion of felony burglary. He allegedly stuffed a backpack full of DVDs and tried to leave Costco without paying. Bail was set at $2,500.

• A 49-year-old transient was arrested at 5:06 p.m. Tuesday at Long and Roop streets on suspicion of misdemeanor being a drunken pedestrian and obstructing an investigation. Bail was set at $474.

• A 41-year-old handyman from Carson City was arrested at 8:29 a.m. Friday at Cascade and Gordonia drives on suspicion of misdemeanor contempt of court and driving on a suspended license. Bail was set at $1,958.

• A 27-year-old porter from Carson City was arrested at 3:30 a.m. Wednesday in the 1200 bloc of Sharon Drive on suspicion of misdemeanor domestic battery. Bail was set at $3,132.

The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded Tuesday:

• 12:11 a.m. - Fight report in the 3800 block of Highway 50 East. A man was taken to the hospital.

• 9:03 a.m. - Man found sleeping behind a business at Fall and Rice streets that had a window broken.

• 11:09 a.m. - Accident at North Lompa Lane and Highway 50 East.

• 2:58 p.m. - A bicyclist reported she was hit by a car on Saliman Road and the driver left.

• 6 p.m. - Residential burglary report in the 1600 block of Brown Street.

• 10:22 p.m. - Coroner call at Carson Tahoe Regional Medical Center.

Lyon County

The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded Tuesday:

• 2:49 a.m. - A caller reported finding a ladder leading into his crawl space and a light on in the crawl space that he didn't turn on. A report was taken.

• 9:22 a.m. - Report of a student causing a disturbance at Silver Stage High School in Silver Springs.

• 12:40 p.m. - Vehicle burglary report in the 600 block of Boulder Circle in Dayton.

• 8:09 p.m. - Misdemeanor arrest on Rose Peak Road in Dayton.

• 8:19 p.m. - Misdemeanor arrest on East Main Street in Fernley.
