The Lyon County Sheriff's Office is investigating the death of a 9-month-old boy Thursday morning.
According to Lt. Bryan Veil, officers and paramedics were called to an Ardmore Street home in Silver Springs about 11 a.m. Thursday on a report of child not breathing. Attempts to resuscitate the boy were unsuccessful.
Lyon County sheriff's dispatch logs indicate the child was found in a bed and perhaps suffocated.
The name of the child was not disclosed. The cause of death is under investigation.
