Sutton Hatmaker Law Corp. opens Reno office

Sutton Hatmaker Law Corp., a Fresno firm that focuses on employment and business law, has opened a Reno office.

Brett Sutton, a founder and partner of Sutton Hatmaker, said the company sees a market in serving Nevada companies that have operations in California.

"An increasing amount of Nevada companies are doing business in California, where the employment and labor laws are, oftentimes, more stringent than federal laws, which surprises many companies," he said.

Sutton, a graduate of the Pepperdine University School of Law, is admitted to practice in Nevada.

Joining him in practicing in the new Reno office is Crystal R. Willis, who defends and counsels management clients employment law cases. She previously worked as a deputy attorney general in Nevada.

A graduate of the Notre Dame Law School, Willis also has worked as a clerk to U.S. District court Judge Robert McQuaid and Second District Court Judge Brent Adams.

The firm's Reno office is at 9600 Gateway Drive.
