Barry Hamp, James B. Harris

Barry Hamp has been hired as vice president and James B. Harris has been named medical director for the Renown Institute for Cancer.

Hamp most recently worked as senior vice president of the Cancer Treatment Centers of America in Philadelphia, Pa. and Phoenix, Ariz. for the past five years.

He is a former US Navy Hospital Corpsman and has practiced general, trauma and oncologic surgery for 23 years.

Harris received his medical doctorate from Wake Forest School of Medicine. He completed his internship and residency in general surgery at the University of Southern California and completed a fellowship in surgical oncology at City of Hope.

He is affiliated with the Reno-based Western Surgical Group.
