It is now said that with the present hard times on the Comstock scarcely a day goes by where a miner flees Virginia leaving swarms of mourning creditors behind. There is hardly one in 20 miners given better times would rather pay his debts. The only thing left is for him to get clear out.

Chairman E.C.D. Marriage of the Boy Scouts salvage committee has announced the scouts will handle pickup of paper and cardboard items starting Saturday.

The new Nevada Guard Armory will be dedicated next week. The building was completed last week at a cost of $131,000 and will be used for maintenance and repair of guard vehicles.

A revised edition of "Nevada, A colorful Past" by Doris Ceveri is now available. For over 20 years Ceveri has traveled the state for first-hand information on Nevada's colorful history.
