The baseball game between the Carson Brewery and the Gardnerville team on the Valley Park diamond resulted in the game going to the visitors 8-7. The Carson team is considering holding a dance to raise money and buy uniforms.

70 YEARS AGO

Governor Carville has proclaimed April 11-17 as "China Week" to help raise funds to assist China, which has experienced the horror of five years of war. "The Chinese are a brave and gallant people and deserve the support of all of us," said Carville.

50 YEARS AGO

Brian Harris has been awarded regional speech winner for the Lions Club. He will represent Carson High School and the local Lions Club at the state meeting later this month.
