E-recording for BLM office

The Bureau of Land Management's Nevada state office in Reno will become the first BLM office in the nation to offer electronic filing of land-record documents related to mining claims and geothermal and oil and gas leases.

The office handles approximately 272,500 documents a year, and they are currently delivered by hand, mail or courier.

An open house on the electronic recording system is scheduled for 9 a.m. April 23. RSVP to jkleinschmidt@blm.gov.
