Obituary: Kurt Buchanan

Kurt Buchanan died peacefully at home on April 19 following a long battle with cancer. He was 54. Kurt was born May 27, 1957 in N. Hollywood, CA, to Jimmy and Nancy (Sumara) Buchanan. He was a journeyman electrician for 30 years and a craftsman who took great pride in his work. He was a friend of Bill W with 11 years in recovery. Kurt loved mountain biking, shooting, nature, animals, the desert, mountains, and all things mechanical. He had a kind heart, an indomitable spirit, and a dry sense of humor. He will be missed. He is survived by his mother of Santa Fe, NM; his wife Linda of Carson City; and sons Mike and Keith Carroll, Edward Shedd, Christopher, Jason and Keith Buchanan.
