Especially For You, a fashion, gift and accessories boutique in Gardnerville, has opened a second location, at 1910 College Parkway, Suite 130, next door to Bella Salon & Spa.

Especially For You has been in business in Gardnerville for 16 years. The business has evolved from home decor and gifts to include current fashion trends and accessories. The store carries a wide range of merchandise, from office attire to dinner wear, and the comfy, casual weekend look.

Especially for You is open from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday.

Abowd, Rose earn

mutual fund designation

Eric Abowd and Steve Rose, partners and lead financial advisers at Abowd & Rose Financial Group, were recently awarded with the first nationally recognized mutual fund designation, Certified Fund Specialist, by the Institute of Business & Finance.

This graduate-level designation is conferred upon candidates who complete a 135-hour educational program and demonstrate mastery in the field.

"We believe that continuing our education immediately benefits our clients," said Abowd.

Established in 2005 in Carson City, the firm recently opened an office in Reno.
